Sangre de Grado ( Croton Lechleri, Sandre de drago, Dragon's blood) is a tree that grows in the upper Amazon region of Peru, Columbia, and Ecuador. Sangre de grado is used to heal wounds while also helping stomach and intestinal ulcers. 

In Peruvian herbal medicine, sangre de grado is recommended for hemorrhaging, as an antiseptic vaginal douche.  It can be used to help heal ulcers in the throat and mouth.  Sangre de grado is used as an antiviral for stomach viruses and upper respiratory viruses.  The sap of the tree is also used to help with diarrhea and is used as a general tonic. 

Sangre de grado contains phytochemicals which include proanthocynaidins, diterpenes, simple phenols, phytosterols, lignans, and active alkaloids.

Sangre de grado has shown antiviral activity.  Sangre de grado has also shown anti-diarrhea properties.
